Long live WordPress!

A site out of 4 is made with WordPress

What is a CMS

In computer science, a content management system, in acronym CMS (content management system in Italian), is a software tool, installed on a web server, whose task is to facilitate the management of website content, freeing the webmaster from specific technical knowledge of Web programming.

Why do we use it?

WordPress, the CMS used by StarsystemIT for the development of institutional websites… and not only that, has now become one of the pillars for the development of worldwide internet platforms with a net 25% percentage overall. Just think to make a comparison that its biggest competitor, Joomla, is at 6.6%.

This means that considering the many obsolete sites there are around the “world wide web” almost all new achievements use this technology.

We have always supported the development LAMP and all the resources Open Source available online, in this WordPress has managed to keep up with the times by carrying out an independent paid platform and a platform (the original one) for professionals always updated and with a wide choice of third parties increasingly well done.

The CMS arrived at its version 5 recently with many new features, is increasingly usable and implementable on “mobile” platforms, in fact the same administrative area is by default “responsive”, so usable by tablets and smartphones. For many years we easily realize ad hoc themes built by us and then installed directly to the customer, this is our strength, dynamism, quality and speed in the realization of graphic projects.
