What is it?

Facebook is one of the most popular social networks. It was founded in Harvard by Mark Zuckerberg and his university friends and launched in 2004. Facebook has achieved enormous success, becoming the most visited site in the world and profoundly changing the aspects related to socialization and interaction between individuals.
Facebook quickly became a huge aggregator of personal profiles, network users communicate their interests, their passions, their experiences, … Facebook is therefore to be considered a huge database, containing very detailed profiles and therefore potentially more powerful than Google itself, if analyzed from the point of view of corporate marketing.

What does it mean to choose Facebook for corporate marketing?

First of all it is important to understand who we are addressing when we choose Facebook to advertise our business. Analyzing the Italian users on Facebook we can see that the public in question is well distributed over the entire national population. In fact, users are equally distributed between males and females, they belong on average to all Italian regions and considering the occupations declared on the social network, the distribution covers all sectors. Interesting data about age: Facebook is a tool used by anyone over 14 years old, and the most populated group is the one between 25 and 34 years old.
In Facebook you can find the average user you want to communicate with. Only in Italy, users are about 27 million, your page would inevitably be an interesting business card for your business.
The Facebook, is the tool for companies that want to expand their business and make themselves known in the world of social users, a real showcase where to communicate, share status and information, news and events, videos, photos, links, create contests, add applications and much more.
The social nature of the network should not be overlooked. Facebook was created to create social networks, to allow users to keep in touch with each other and have fun. This philosophy should therefore be reflected in the management of your page: users want to stay in touch with the company, so you should use an informal style to create a direct and engaging relationship with users / fans. Another strength of the social is the well-structured and comprehensive advertising tool: Facebook Ads.
The ads on Facebook are similar to those proposed by Google. They are customizable boxes that appear on the right column or in the middle of the news feed. They allow you to highlight and promote different aspects related to your business (website, purchases, newsletter subscriptions, interactions with posts and the company page, discounts and promotions) with truly sustainable costs. The most interesting aspect of the tool is the targeting of the public to whom the ads will be offered: you can choose the recipients of your ads based on geographical location, language, age, job, education, interests, …

Errors to avoid when managing the company page

Facebook is not a channel through which to propose the intensive publication of advertising posts, but an opportunity to show what you know how to do and consequently to make you know and publicize your business. Post interested guides, video tutorials, make users understand that following your profile will be an indispensable added value and not of the annoying SPAM.

Leaving the page for weeks would give users a sense of neglect, so it is recommended to publish an average of two / three posts per week.

Take care of interactions with users, a profile that overlooks opinions, comments, likes and shares of fans will end up losing them and record an inevitable decrease in the number of views of the page.

Facebook is a powerful tool that allows you to get great results for business marketing.
